HOW TO CONVERT KNOWLEDGE INTO ACTION?
AKFI was born in 2020 in the middle of great uncertainty about how to act when disasters and pandemics strike again.
With global pandemics such as COVID-19 or any disastrous event, ACTION is the only way to save people and their livelihood. No disaster is the same. Some are seasonal, like hurricanes, others are unpredictable like earthquakes, and yet others are unexpected like epidemics.
Over time we learned how to predict and prepare for hurricanes and earthquakes. That leaves unexpected disasters to ‘trial and error’ reactions, which lead to human sufferings, loss of lives, social and economic breakdowns.
